The times of ordinary television have perhaps already gone by and it is time for the thin and better looking televisions to step in. The stress is on aesthetic value of the television just like refrigerators are not only supposed to work well but also to look good, as they do not have to sit inside a room in the far corner of the house and have to work silently. They are supposed to sit there right in the middle of the guests and look welcoming and pleasant. The same position is enjoyed by the televisions these days. They too have to look good and show well.
LCD televisions are sleek and are good in the looks department but the problem is that they picture does not look the same from all angles. The problem, despite technological advancement remains. Plasma Televisions are a step ahead. They are at par with the LCD televisions perform well when it comes to watching from more than one angle. They really look very elegant in the drawing rooms, hanging from the wall like a post-modernistic painting. So, if you are after looks and performance combined and would not shy from paying for it, Plasma televisions are for you for sure.
Surely, the one thing that the companies have to work on is the affordability. Perhaps, there would not be any betterment in this regard unless there is a material breakthrough in the technology. In other words, only a new kind of technology would make the prices tumble. Till then the not-so-rich ones have to make do with the regular Colour Televisions.
